Samsoph Family

Trevor and Tanya Layton and Patrick and Nicky Allen are the affix holders of Samsoph Saint Bernards. We have had St Bernards for 12 years, starting with two rescue dogs first of all, and this is where the name Samsoph comes from. Sampson was a 9months old puppy who had outgrown his home and the control of his owners. Having previously been involved with obedience in my then breed German Shepherds, we felt confident in taking him on. He was a lovely dog and soon made us devoted owners to the breed. Sophie was rescued from a puppy farm and was in a terrible condition when we had her. Needing veterinary treatment and tender loving care, which she repaid to us three fold. We then decided to buy two puppies from Lorna Lyons of Snowfordhill Saint Bernards.

We breed a small number of litters to improve our stock and the quality of the breed and you can see photos of some of the puppies we've produced on this site. Our paramount aim is to breed this gentle giant as just that, with A1 temperaments.
